Why everyone needs to sign up for Mozy

I have been using Mozy for almost two years now and I install it to every system that I remotely support, both family members and friends.

Follow this link to signup and get an additional 256MB of off site storage free. https://mozy.com/?code=Z3L58M

Now that EMC has officially announced it has purchased Mozy I have even more faith in this company and its long term prospects.

TG Daily did a great article: http://www.tgdaily.com/content/view/34349/118/ that outlines exactly why we all need off site data storage. Having an external hard drive in your house or storing all of your data on one single hard drive in your desktop is a recipe for disaster. Off site storage is a key component of any viable back up regime.

And best of all this place is free. 2GB of storage should be enough to cover all your word documents, excel files, and other important valuable information. If you want to sign up for the unlimited (yes, they really mean unlimited) service it is only 4.95$ a month.

Not a bad deal  to spend 60$ a year and have the comfort of knowing your data is stored in a secure, encrypted, off site facility.
